Brand repositioning means deliberately shifting how a company is perceived — its audience, identity, or price tier. Done well, it extends a brand's life and unlocks new revenue. Done badly, it alienates the loyalists who made the brand valuable in the first place. The hardest repositioning problems are not about what the data says — they are about managing two audiences simultaneously without lying to either one.
